This Thursday, our friends from the soon-to-be-revealed FresnoTacos.com and FresnoBeehive.com are teaming up with The Fresno Grizzlies to give you a taste of some of the best tacos in the Valley. There's been a lot of talk about the Fresno area being known for incredible tacos, so this is your chance to find out if all those trucks really live up to the hype.

Eight of the most delicious taco trucks from around the area (many suggested by you) will be there for you to try so that you can decide which taco truck tingles your taste buds the most. Fortunately for Taco Truck Throwdown attendees, it's also Thirsty Thursday at Chukchansi Park, so you'll be able to get $1 beers through the fifth inning and $1 sodas throughout the entire game.

From the Beehive:

You can buy either special taco packages -- loaded with goodies, just like your favorite taco. Or you can show up to the game (you have to have a ticket to get in) and buy tacos individually for $1.50 from the eight taco trucks in attendance.

The two packages available are:

  • Deluxe Taco Package: $18 -- includes four tacos, a ticket to the game and a Taco Truck Throwdown T-shirt.
  • Super Taco Experience: $23 -- includes eight tacos, a ticket to the game and a Taco Truck Throwdown T-shirt.

Both of these can be purchased at the Fresno Grizzlies box office or by calling (559) 320-8497. You can also purchase -- at the event -- a $12 pass to sample all eight trucks.

You can RSVP on Facebook, but you still have to purchase a taco package (or a game ticket) to get in.

See you Thursday!
