[Restaurant Review] Palomino's

Posted by jamescollier on Dec 29, 2007

Creative Fresno held its annual meeting at Palomino's, who graciously offered an enclosed space for us. This soup is easy to make, delicious, and freezes well. Just put the ingredients in the pot and stir.

[Recipe] Lasagna

Posted by jamescollier on Dec 29, 2007

This is the easiest lasagna recipe I've found, and it always comes out perfect. I believe it's origin is actually from Ragu, though a few changes have been made along the way. The recipe can also be stretched by doubling the sauce (and meat) and noodles, and using two pans. It also freezes well.

[Blog post] Hot buttered popcorn

Posted by jamescollier on Jun 09, 2007

Last week I found my latest culinary obsession: homemade hummus. This week, Kim found hers in popcorn. Okay, neither are exactly difficult, but once we find something, we stick to it...for at least a week.

I always thought that homemade popcorn required a special (mind you, cheap) aluminum pan, but evidently it doesn't require anything special. She's been making it with just a little bit of oil, salt, and a nonstick sauce pan.

There's definitely a difference. She's licking the bowl right now...
