Hash Brown Potato Casserole

I believe this recipe came from one of my wife's co-workers.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 32 oz package of frozen has browns thawed
  • ¾ cup butter or margerine, melted.
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 - 8 oz. sour cream or yogurt (or mixture of both)
  • 1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar
  • 1 lemon twist
  • Parsley
  • 2 cups corn flakes

Instructions

Combine potatoes, butter, onion, soup, sour cream, cheese and stir well.  Spoon into greased 2 ½ quart casserole dish.

Crush cereal and stir in remaining butter, sprinkle over potatoes.

Bake 350 degrees - 50 min.

Garnish with lemon and parsley
